Will coding/programming become oversaturated in 2023?

I think some areas are already saturated. I think front end web is mostly saturated at the junior level, I think junior positions in machine learning probably are too.

The problem is that machine learning with Python was incredibly popular to learn in the past few years but there aren’t actually that many jobs for it.

For front end web, there is plenty of jobs, but it seemed that practically *all* beginners were learning JavaScript and a framework like React. So while there are loads of jobs, there are even more people applying for them.

I think if you’re learning programming today, look at the job ads and see what jobs are not getting filled.

If you were planning to learning something like JavaScript or Python, consider that probably 90% of beginners are doing the same thing and that’s going to lead to a huge amount of competition for jobs.
